Easter Edition

So in the end it took a pandemic for me not to stress about what I needed to fill an Easter basket with or organizing a family Bruch or Dinner.I just woke up grateful for another day and the special moments I was able to still have with my son.

Easter was a week ago and despite the current circumstances it was a pretty good day. Thank God that we were able to have virtual church and that my son was able to sing and dance, which he loves. I tell you it melts my heart that he is able to have love for God at such a young age. Church was about an hour or so long and then my plan to still make this a special day continued…

  1. Dress to Impress We still dressed up like we were going to church. I had suits hanging in KJ’s closet for months. He had many options to choose from. Because like many am a last minute shopper for myself did not purchase a special Easter outfit but we still made due. Of course we made sure to document our weekend outs so I could share it with everyone who could not see him over the weekend.

  1. Indoor Easter Egg Hunt I placed Easter eggs filled with 1 piece of candy all over his playroom. He is only two so I didn’t go overboard with the candy. I only hid about 8 eggs. Some eggs I hid in more challenging areas. But O I underestimated my child’s searching skills. He found every single egg and enjoyed all the candy except the ones he shared with me!

  2. Gifts Usually for Easter we give an edible goodie, something fun and then something educational. With there being limitations on going out and store options we just decided to go with our favorite stores! Target. We got a coloring book for him since he is into writing. We also were blessed with a gift basket by his Auntie with a lot of batman goodies he has now since worn everyday.

Overall it may not have been a standard Easter but it was still just as special and just as memorable. It is not the circumstances of situation but how you handle and adapt to those circumstances that determine the outcome.
